Independent Hip Hop Label started up at Penn State by the artist MEERS. We began recording in January 2004 and are in the process of building up our name.
* Sixty Fo' Productions interview by Musician MP3 content managment.
How would you describe the band if you were a pressman or an
editor?
Sixy Fo' Productions brings together local artists from the Pittsburgh and Penn State area in PA. Other artists featured are from NJ, NY, and Maryland.
Why did you choose your name?
Sixty Fo' productions is a play off of the room number in which the studio began. Room 604 in the Diplomat
What type of music do you play?
We mostly work on rap and R&B. The style is simialar to the East Coast sound and specifically a New York sound.
How long have you been together?
We just started puttin' all this together in January 2004. Lots of time and effort has gone into just getting things started.
What have you released to date?
Nothing major. Our first publication was the Revolution Vol. 1 Mixtape. Which was basically a DJ cd done by MEERS. This summer we plan on releasing our first full length album featuring different artists from the label.
The upcoming summer album is almost completely recorded. All songs are currently in post-production. Featured artists and the cd will be Reek Da Freek, Meers, JM, and Presto. It will include all new material and feature between 14-16 tracks.
